I've been reading vampire novels since I got bored waiting for Stephen King to come out with another Dark Tower installment oh so many years ago. I got hooked on Anne Rice and thought she was the be-all and end-all of vampire writers. I had picked up 1 or 2 of the Anita Blake books from the library when I was in school and somehow never read them. I have some catching up to do.
Off to work. My dinner break won't come fast enough! I can't wait to read more!

My boss emailed this to our region today. As much as I chafe against the bonds of retail management, one of the reasons I stay (at this particular company) is that I work for and with one of the best women I know. She's boss, mentor, friend and just a fun whirl-wind of a person to be around. I wanted to share with you what she wrote because I found it inspiring. As we have just 1 more sleep until the man in the shiny red suit and long white beard arrives, when all the hustle and bustle stops just for 1 day ....
My 1 wish for everyone is simply... time!
Time set aside to relax, refresh and reflect.
May your holiday season be overflowing with joy, love and gratitude, with my sincere wishes for health, happiness and prosperity ..
And as we reflect on what is truly amazing in our life ..think simply that...
Life is a journey so enjoy the ride. Get the most out of the detours and realize they're sometimes necessary.
Do your best, even if what you've been doing isn't working, try a different approach.
Be passionate about the process; don't be so attached to the outcome.
Wish the best for everyone, with no personal strings attached. Applaud someone else's win as much as you would your own.
Trust that there is a divine plan, that we don't always know what's best for us.
A disappointment now could be a victory later, so don't be disappointed. There is usually a reason.
Ask no more of yourself than the best that you can do, and be satisfied with that.
Be compassionate toward yourself as well as others. Know your calling, your gift, and do it well.
Don't worry about something after it's done; it's out of your hands then, too late, its over! Learn the lesson and move on.
Have the attitude that no one, except you owes you anything. Give without expecting a thank-you in return. But when someone does something for you, be appreciative of even the smallest gesture.
Choose your thoughts or your thoughts will choose you; they will free you or keep you bound.
Educate your spirit and give it authority over your feelings.
Judge no one, and disappointment and forgiveness won't be an issue. No one can let you down if you are not leaning on them. People can't hurt you unless you allow them to.
Love anyway...for no reason...and give...just because.

Then the week went downhill, 6 days in a row of work with 10 and 11 hour days, a manager's meeting out of town, which was very product and I actually ended up being the star of the show which was really cool and a bit of a much needed ego boost....the meeting was late finishing and once again it turned into a 10 hr day. Exhausting, especially considering I am not used to spending that much time sitting on my ass! I'm used to running around a 6000 sq ft + store, up and down ladders, climbing shelves in the back room, but not just sitting.
The week got worse when my key called in sick and I had to work open to close on Thursday, screwing up my plans for a shoot that night, I had to go in early on Friday, open to close on Saturday and then rushing around for my hubby's work Christmas party. I did my hair and makeup on my lunch break and then flew home to change my clothes and boot it to the party. The party was meh in terms of food, but that's the norm for the company, it's the crazy staff that make it worthwhile. Jefe and his musical partner in crime played some tunes for us and the girls got up and danced and fooled around until everyone else was gone and we packed it in. Sunday was another long day, I lived through Monday and now I am contemplating where to put my Christmas tree this year. I hate my apartment.
Now it's time to send my update in, I wanted it in last week but there was just not enough hours in the day to get it edited. But it's done now. Yay! It turned out well, I like playing different roles...
I actually feel better after typing all of this...I really need to get back into the habit of writing...

I would agree with some of this analysis...but not all. I can be wild and I do love sex--shocking, I know. I like to try new things but I wouldn't say that I was "edgy" and if it said "tattoos" instead of "taboos" it would be accurate. LOL
Sexual dabbler, yes, unusual fantasies? I don't think so...but tell me yours and I'll tell you mine! ;-) Open minded partners, yes please! If you're not, you're about to learn a thing or two or you can keep your knickers on and make your own way to the door. You can occupy your own space if you won't open your mind. I am by no means a sex expert but I would LOVE to be one! Anyone want to teach me?? I do, however, give my friends and co-workers advice all the time! Guilty as charged! :D And I do try to help anyone I meet (well almost anyone lol) become a little more sexually liberated.

But for some reason I am drawn to almost anything JT produces. It's a bit silly. I've not been a fan of boy bands or their by-products since NKOTB Version 1.0 when I was 12. But there is something about this now scruffy looking cutie from the backwoods of Tennesse that I find fascinating. He appears to produce quality. He can actually sing, he's definitely got some moves and he's got that boy you can take home to Mom with a small streak of bad boy to keep things interesting. I like that.
I thought my husband was a bad boy before we started dating. He was always nice ot me when we hung out in the same circles, but he always had this unknown and slighty dangerous quality about him. Really he's a teddy bear...one that I would not want to meet on a bad day in the woods after someone has pissed him off, but a really good man. My bosses have always seen him as wonderfully charming, professional, very polite and well spoken, fun. But he's still a bad boy. How do you think he ended up in my room? *wink*
